UK Maths Challenge

A number of our year 11 students have received awards in this year’s UK maths challenge.  The challenge involves answering 25 multiple choice questions in one hour and is sat in school under normal exam conditions.

Mr Anderson wanted a special mention to go to Lewis Bolding who has made it through to the Olympiad (maths Olympics qualifying stages). Only the top 1500 out of 250,000 entrants are entered and Luke Hindhaugh to the next round the pink kangaroo, top 9000 out of 250,000.  With Mr Anderson stating “this is an amazing achievement for both students and for Mortimer”

Best wishes to both boys for the next round and congratulations to all the students who were involved.
