Head Teacher’s Welcome

Thank you for taking an interest in Mortimer. These are exciting times at the school!  Our students have embraced our new uniform as we look to build on our vision: “Making a positive difference.” Being a student at Mortimer means a great deal. Pride, respect, ambition and resilience are a few characteristics that we look to build in our students. We provide a quality education that includes challenge, enjoyment and support both inside and outside of the classroom. Our school priorities are our students’ safety & wellbeing and the continuing improvement of teaching & learning.

Throughout the year we keep parents/carers informed regarding their child’s progress and achievements. I have very high expectations of the young people who attend our school and of the dedicated staff who already work here. I look for support from home in order that all of our students can flourish whilst they are in our care. Our partnership with home is essential to achieve high standards and our students’ happiness is absolutely vital to us.  As you can see on our twitter feed, we always have exciting and challenging opportunities available for our students to access.

If you would like to arrange for a tour of the school in the school day, please do not hesitate to contact the school and a senior member of staff, or our transition manager, will be happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.

Thank you once again for your interest in Mortimer.
